http://icanhazmoney.blogspot.c... plan to build a hobby weight combat robot (12 pound) for swarc... I built a model from K'NEX (approx. to exact scale). It's weapon motor for modeling purposes is a K'NEX Monster truck motor rewired for plug-in power and overvolted from 6v DC to 12v DC. This is the fury of it with TOY parts, imagine the fury with a DRILL MOTOR and ALUMINUM! The body will probably be built with 3/16th inch lexan for the top and sides and some plywood for the bottom, along with some sheet metal (aluminum flashing) skirts for protection form flippers and wedges. It will use a DeWalt 12v drill motor. I will keep the other details hidden till possible showtime (perhaps mid-summer). It is based off of Tornado Mer and Son of Whyachi, and a small part from Biohazard. It will also feature the non-spinning center pole for self righting and further driving direction indicator. This will be my first bot.

Testing K-NEX. OK? Its spinning around and its hitting stuff- GO FIGURE! It's still K-NEX with A motor connected to A wall outlet. KID- try testing it if you ever make A real one and use objects that are the same weight as another robot. Breaking all your toys with this piece of shit is pointless.
