After landing, Mr.Belenko was let to move to Shinagawa Tokyo. It takes only 40 minutes to go to Shinagawa from my home by car.Mr.Belenko said "Japanese police and all policemen are very gentle and kind.And all foods are so very nice".In USSR foods are the same as fuel of a car,he told so.

my take on the foxbat was that the russians developed it to respond to the immenent threat of the B-70 Valkryie mach 3 bomber the US was developing back in the 60's, along with the threat of the SR71/A-11 programme. the MiG 23 could not get high or fast enough to engage mach 3 aircraft at 70,000 feet.
