hey carvul the hyena actually has more power on its jaws than a white shark. The snapping turtle has it stronger than a hyena. But the one with the strongest bite is the crocodile.

Musket balls? Wow! That's old....

See, there were more indians shooting at turtles 200-300 years ago then there have been people shooting at turtles with musket balls. I'd much more believe a wild turtle found with an arrow head stuck in it. They didn't shoot musket "balls" in the civil war, they shot a "bullet" behind black powder. It could be 150 but I'm thinking 90-110. It does not show signs of old age yet, not getting white or bulbous large head. Good looking turtle though, get it out of the concrete.

Everyone notice this turtle has a really nice dip on top of the head. A characteristic of turtles in the Mississippi valley and west into Texas. Not something found in turtles in Alabama, Ga, FL. Just can't get over that musket ball comment, recently huh? Yeh, they live about 300 years or more, but musket ball, show me. Just doubting the chance. chance encouter with the musket, and chance encounter now to catch the turtle with the musket. Odds are minimal to none.
