Modern humans first appeared in the fossil record in Africa about 130,000 years ago, although studies of molecular biology give evidence that the approximate time of divergence from the common ancestor of all modern human populations was 200,000 years ago, which I guess leaves 70,000 years in which the species may have migrated. In other words, that homo sapiens sapiens came from Africa is a theory, and isn't proven beyond doubt. Just so you know.
