Ka-50N, slight avionics slightly changed?Ka-50N is the regular ka-50 with FLIR equipment installed , not just slight avionics changes.

N means that only avionics was slightly changed that`s all production of Ka-50 was not stopped it was halted due lack of financingnow they produce it again and already with new avionics, also old Ka-50 being modernized in nearest future Russia now has money and will to do thatMi and Ka was developed by two independent organizations and both of their creations now in russian military

No it doesn't. Only Ka-50N, has the cabapility to fight at night, but only one helicopter was produced... Regular Ka-50 can only operate during day. The production of Ka-50 was stopped for that reason. Thats why russia choose Ka-52 and Mi-28 instead.

how does the KA-50 fly? is the way the doulbe rotar balences like the Chinook does? because i always thought without a tail rotar a choper would just spin in circles

Love its design, like a mix betwean a heli and fixed wing, beautyfull and smooth, yet agressive. Imo the most impressive looking helicopter gunship there is.

I'm sorry to spil all the fun but Apache is better than Ka-50.... KA-50 can't fight during night, their targeting system Shkval just uses regular TV camera. Thats why MI-28 was chosen instead :P
