Wonderful riding and wonderful horse!I have a wonderful 5yr old PRE working at novice, one day I dream of riding like you!Who suggested Rolkur had been used?!They obviously dont know their Iberians then!Beautiful music too.

This is what harmony between rider and horse is all about! better than this only the great Master Nuno Oliveira! I am Portuguese and am nothing but proud to see all the comments made about Lusitano Horses and the rider. What saddens me is that many times such horses and riders are not enough appreciated in our country and need to go other countries to be appreciated and get their work recognised. Still, very happy to see that people love our horses, our riders and our music (Fado)!! WELL DONE!!

Why dont you get on your Classical High Horse and show us what you can do? I love shit talking people that have no videos of their on to show how it should be done.

Sorry, that was a reply to an earlier comment about being behind the vertical, I don't know why my "reply" mode isn't working!

People get so bent out of shape if a horse comes slightly behind the vertical. Of course the ideal is to have a horse perfectly balanced and soft on or SLIGHTLY in front of the vertical, but if you had to err one way or the other, I would rather see a horse slightly behind and soft over his topline (as long as he is still working into the contact, like this horse) than too much in front and bracing the underside of his neck and consequently his back, becoming hollow. Just my opinion.

U don't need rollkur on the average lusitano stallion, they curl up their necks out of their own accord. Actually, the problem is convincing them NOT to curl up so much! I've been working the same stallion for a year and he still goes behind the vertical on a loose rein with a Dr. Cook bitless! only way to make him go above is doing counted walk O_o...
