Not really... both are very old airframes that have been updated continuously, but I do think the newest T-95s are much newer than the newest B-52's.

Since you mentioned it, I did meet American servicemen, the highest ranking being a 60-something colonel in Arkansas who is apparently a veteran of Vietnam War. All I can say is that one conversation with the old man clarified that a 60-year old retired colonel of US is as aware of military issues and the world in general as a 22 year old Russian captain. Not to mention, the apparent inability of the said colonel to speak any language other than English and a smattering of Spanish.

Well, men, Tu-160 and tu-95 are not so old as you think. Their equipment is a crap ofcourse, but it will be changed in a few years.
