possible that his technique may appear unique due to having polio as a child, but he is clearly the greatest modern alto player after Desmond...hands down...and invented the sound that thousands have tried to replicate, like the boney james', warren hill's, nelson rangell's, eric darius's...all of them...imitators in many ways.

while a truly great altoist, his technique makes me wanna say 'Kids, don't try this at home!' All works for him, though.
