i see why it would work. water shorts it, because it carries an electric current, but i don't think oil does.

ok...not so sure that this is actually worth all the trouble just to get a PC that is "silent".i mean - what the hell do you do when it comes time for an upgrade?... or if there is some kind of short?...and how about the oil itself?...wouldn't it begin to change it's composition as a result of exposure to the heat, as well as the metal & silicon components?aside from "looking cool" and being a great ice-breaker for conversation at a party, is there really any serious benefit here?

The point is that the computer is cooled by oil. The fans are removed and the heat centers are then cooled by the oil. So you get SILENT RUNNING AND NO OVERHEATING.
