I was fortunate enough to witness the Johns (Scofield & Medeski) at Pori Jazz. Things worked well with just a guitar and a hammond B-3.

Like any great guitarist, Scofield's sound is so unmistakable. Im happy to say I have seen this group (MMSW) multiple times.

Yes i agree the bass is tasty.The whole band is perfsct lead by John Scofield. would love to see him play live..

I second that. I think it's because he plays shorter lines. He can stretch out on solos when he wants, but he's just as happy playing those neat little fills. He's got great tone, and it's very consistent; his tone always sounds so good, like something from early '70s Jeff Beck. |
