jap-it's tht most famous song in the movie but "an der schönen blauen donau" is way better to listen to...so do i think^^

srry lucaselucs,but although this song is beutiful its not the best ssong in the movie. The opening/closing scene have the best n most famous song.its called Also sprach Zarathustra

JJarv213 The ape sequence is exactly the length it should be, not a second too long or too short. I really don't think you understand Kubrick at all. As already mentioned, this is a piece of art rather than a motion picture. The piece immediately after the monolith scene when it cuts to a deserted landscape with the sound of grasshoppers is just as important - if not the most important part. This is up there with the Monets and Van Goughs, without doubt.
