One of the band member's mom worked at the sailing club I sailed at when I was a kid and she said they pulled this video because MTV got a really negative reaction from viewers who said they didn't understand it. I'm not going to claim I can explain every nuance of this video, but I sure as heck wish they hadn't replaced it!

I saw this video once on MTV's "Alternative Nation" (remember? hosted by Kennedy?), and haven't seen it since; but I never forgot the name John Register. I thought this video was aurally and aesthetically gorgeous.
