Unfortunately, Kyeot is right. Most Americans, right now, are acting like moral cowards. They are not focused on doing the right thing. They are doing what is expedient or convenient or what lines their pockets. If Mike Gravel had received more media attention, he would have bolstered people's moral courage. That's another reason he was censored and cut out of the debates and "disappareared" from the American public's consideration.

NONE of the so-called "frontrunners" can even compare to Mike Gravel...he is NOT ONLY HIGHLY INTELLIGENT, but is ALSO NON-CORRUPT & COURAGEOUS, AND has a LONG, WELL-DOCUMENTED history PROVING it!!!

I understand. No independent/underdog can win unless suffrage is direct.

The Libertarians had their chance with Ron Paul, but they let their personal thirst for Power get in the way. We are a Two party system and Ron Paul could have changed that if elected. It's over folks, we were given one last chance and blew it. Our Freedoms are as good as gone, there is a reason people who have real wealth don't live in the US. I almost can't wait for the NWO to take over at least we won't be ruled by Christians, the one's who made all the laws that got us where we are to day.

In theory yes. In actual practice, an Independent can not become President due to the Electoral College set up only for the 2 Party System. It would be like a protest vote only, as neither the Dems or Rep have anybody worth voting for. This is how I see it anywho.

OK, I'm not a US citizen but I'm still curious about your system. If someone runs as an independent candidate, he or she goes straight to the final election, assuming the criteria that are in place for the candidate to run in the first place are met? |
