ew years ago, two parents went out for dinner. There was another problem. Harold's younger brother Tostig had been banished from England by him due to conflict between him and people of Northumbria. Harold, ambitious to be king gave in to public demands. Later on, Tostig sided with Hadrada, king of Norway who was interested in the crown of England. They then started an invasion from the shores of York. His men were defeated and Tostig was killed. Harold then had much less time to prepare for the resistance.

I totally agree, I believe the saxon's marched for 2 or 3 days and fought the battle the next day, they must have been exhausted!so I guess it wasn't such a good idea anyway XD

its very well documented that if harold had waited ,and took his time ,insted of rushing into battle after fighting the viking army at stamford bridge,harold could only get stronger, where as william would of used up his supplies and got weaker,in a hostile country, harold would of greatly outnumbered the normans,and therefore would of won, and as i said before ,it was a close run battle as it was , it went on most of the day
