I don't think we even need to define who "God" is to every person in this instance. Even if you do believe our species came from another planet, you can still have the marriage between a Supreme Being/Higher Power that religion is based on with science. To everyone, their God is all powerful. He may have created life on a different planet, knowing eventually it would lead to ours. Scientific facts are proof that God's work is more complex than we can imagine. God IS the scientist.

I have thought that before. The problem is who is "God"? If you are refering to the Holy Bible, then you ignore the fact that the Hebrews borrowed much of their their theology and stories [wholesale] from the Sumerians. I know it sounds far fetched, but I think life came from somewhere else...from another planet and species if you will. Look up in the sky in the starry night. There must be life elsewhere. If not, its a whole lot of waste of space.

Ever think that maybe, just maybe, evolution was planned by God in the first place? Do you honestly think that he made every single creature you see today all at one time? That would be kinda boring, don't ya think, plus take all chance of us progressing into the variety of species we are now. Put down the centuries old book of stories created to dumb down the process of us thinking for ourselves and discovering different viewpoints. Pick up a fossil instead and try thinking outside the book.
