I love rotor engines, but I heard they are low in torque. has anyone experienced problems meeting emission inspections with a rotary car?

Mazda REPU (Rotary Engine Pickup Truck)1974-1977Estimated just over 15,000 total units were built.Apparently quite collectable for enthusiasts and was used for racing. All from wikipedia. Hope that helped?

By simple, I think they mean "fewer moving parts"

i had a 1974 mazda truck with a rotary engine. i didn't know much about them at the time but i remember it had two spark plugs per cylinder and a four barrel carb. it was a fast little truck and dependable. it is the only one i've ever seen like it. i bought it off a guy who drove it from alaska. i ended up selling to some other guy. i wish i still had it i'm sure it is rare and worth something.

yeah there are aftermarket ones that are better than mazdas for sure. What i should have said is that Mazda were the first to make decent seals
