This was a signal to so many people that anorexia is a serious illness, one which requires intense treatment to have any chance of success. It wasn not until the 90's that it received the recognition it deserved. I speak as someone who suffered from this for many years. A difficult road to travel down, but I was lucky in the end. Sadly, Karen was too late. God be with you, Karen. A wonderful talent.

JohnnyKeyz88: It was Tony Peluso playing guitar. In one of the Carpenter's documentaries there was a reference to them sounding a bit 'Hendrixy' (I don't think!). Though this is one of those songs that stand out as being totally different from a band or act's usual output. The Osmond's 'Crazy Horses' being another.
