Just because Carlin said he didn't believe in the Big Guy, dosent mean he actually didnt believed that there was a God, there's a good chance he did. It's just part of his material. It's just like Stephen Colbert, in which Stephen PRETENDS to be a single-minded neo-Conservative.Let it go. Carlin (God rest his soul) was just trying to show us that not everything in life (including religion) should not be taken so seriously

Know God Know Peace.tried that. I was a devout christian and miserable. My mother constantly told me that she had "the peace that passes understanding" but she was as miserable as I was. I am now an atheist and for the first time i find beauty in this world. Life is extraordinary to me and I am so fucking happy. I had no peace while believing in god. And I am not suggesting that atheism is the only way to hapiness, just that its individuals who find their happiness by religion or lack, not god.
