Actually I do have a clue, but I believe the clip speaks for itself. I would like to take the opportunity to recommend the very clever and a bit disturbing book "Why buildings fall down" by Mario Salvadori and Matthys Levy, to give the interested reader some perspective on the danger of assumption. Wind forces are tricky to calculate and structural resonance is a bitch. Under the circumstances depicted I would definitely GTFA from that structure regardless of the SWL, but make your own choices.

Well if it was so dangerous and if health and safety weren't happy with it, it wouldn't have been like that.It wasn't going to fall down and crush like 100 people was it.

Well, obviously you did not understand my first piece of irony. Of course he may have been sober. In that case he, or she, was just incompetent, lazy or both. The point is that you do not put people at risk by not taking weather conditions into account when designing large structures, temporary or not. My competence or anybody else´s is completely irrelevant here, this was a dangerous hang and that was the topic of my post.

Well why make stupid comments like that?
OberstHulmbug (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
Now that´s a really constructive remark ;-)

Yes ofcourse. He was very drunk, OR NOT.He could probably do a hell of alot better job than you!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Yes it looks a little hair'y, but all the rigging hardware's been designed to allow for this sort of extra force created by wind.Attach tethers to the bottom & OK, how drunk was the head rigger?.. obviously don't have much of a clue do you!
