you really dont need an anesthetic once it ruptures on its own its the greatest pain relif ever but up untill that point it will hurt ulike any pain u have felt in your life

An abscess is basically a large infection under the skin.

Where did you have this abscess? Did you get any anesthetics? And if you did did it still hurt? Can you please respond back. Cuz I had a similar situation w/anesthetics and it still hurt like crap!!

OH....NOW I fully understand why they told me that working on my badly abscessed tooth would hurt like the devil, because injections wouldn't touch the pain. I hope you're doing much better and haven't had a recurrence of them. I'm shocked at how many people don't go to the doctor!
