i hate how the band starts playing over Joshua and James.
mackboi93 (July 21, 2008 at 5:09 pm)
is James Carter playing on a cannonball hotspur or just a silver sax
Superbobus (July 20, 2008 at 9:43 pm)
What's up with Carter's timing? Seems off to me.
tenorsaxsoul (July 20, 2008 at 7:09 pm)
carter's first lick is a lot of Parker influence...but redman seems to have way more natural talent in reflecting Parker's genius with playing sick lines that fit the progressions perfectly....that's a good ear.
tenorsaxsoul (July 19, 2008 at 1:28 am)
Totally agree, Redman owns Carter when it comes to melodic genius.
dvnstvn9 (July 15, 2008 at 1:38 am)
I like Cater's style of playing a little more than Redman's.
PapaBehr89 (July 14, 2008 at 3:17 am)
Both saxes are incredible, but Carter falls back on too many gimmicks, Redman schools him as the melodic mastermind he really is.

Finally..... Someone with a Gooooood Ear. |
