Recently played Dcnt 3, and the memories came flashing back.

That´s right! For people that want to play Descent on nowadays pc´s, search for: "DXX-Rebirth project". (v.0.54) Can´t add links here. Support higher resolution (with orginal textures or optimized textures etc). Also supports ip to ip play if I remember correctly. You need original files for the emulator to work. I have Descent 1, 2 and 3 original! Just love Descent 1. Had many, many hours of fun playing on modem with friends! They don´t make games like this anymore!

I have to disagree with you, descent HAVE JOYSTICK (DUAL AXIS JOYSTICK) and MOUSE!

No, you can't. You can either turn around by pressing the arrow keys or slide by doing the same while holding the [Alt] key. DOS games usually didn't have any mouse support or they weren't designed to play them in the same way as in later games.

is that your best?... can you slide and turn in same time?

OMG, could never forget that music! I can't even begin to tell ya how many memories this brings back, countless hours on the modem with the buddies. That's one HUGE thing that Descent had over Doom, Descent was SO EASY to get a modem game running and Doom was "tooth pulling agony"!The 5 Chaos levels were our favorite, especially #3!Thanks for posting!
