still...dont agree with m16 being both close and long range it has a maximum range of 3500meters (which is about 4 km) much better as close quarters. and anyway your one of those people who think being in the army is like rambo.. you kill like 50 people a day its annoying my grandfarther fought in ww2 and my dad is currently in Afghanistan so dont comment back on saying i know nothing about firearms.

the 5.45 is pretty impressive to me. The first test with the plywood you can tell the bullet just tumbled its way thru; most likely keyholing alot of plywood.. killer penetration compared to the nato.

The encyclopedia of having friends in Iraq and shooting them myself at the local range. That encyclopedia. If I had to go into a strange situation by myself, give me the AK any day. But if I was in a traditional combat situation with a squad and stuff, I'd rather have an accurate pocket sniper.

M14 is a piece of shit as an infantry weapon, better as a sniper piece. The Kalashnikov is great for very close-quarters and rugged terrain. But if you care for it properly, the M16 will get you out alive, close quarters OR long-range.

The M16 fires the 5.56x45, the AK47 fires the 7.62x39 and the AK74 fires the 5.45x39. The M14 fires the 7.52x51 and the Russian Dragunov fires the 7.62x54. |
