His Senate voting record shows that he's voted against government spending restraint at every turn, drilling for our own energy...basically everything useful that a President could do to look after America in the 21st century. Right and Wrong, Havoc. While it's true that the congressional Republicans deserved their lumps for letting Bush get away with runaway spending (that mammoth prescription drug giveaway, for example) and are certainly no beacons of small govnmt., I think you missed the point of my original statement.I am voting for Barr and not Obama because Barr has substance beyond "vote for change" slogans. Well it's mainly the Republican controlled Congress that let a Republican president help and I quote "get this nation off it's slippery slope of socialist interventions in the wallets and bedrooms of it's (too trusting) citizens" and gave the Republican party too much power and look at what this great nation of ours has become I'm sick of this so I am ready for change it's time to start a fresh the way Clinton came in and cleaned up the 1st Bush's mess...Obama '08

Well, working 30 years for the Republican party would make me feel the same way too, especially under Reagan and Bush...So I'm voting Democrat Obama '08! How can he be the same old same old with a background story such as his? Obama is not an elitist and never has been, he has had to work his tail off for everything he has had....d:-(D>

What Ralph Nader stands for is in exact contrast to the personal freedoms the Libertarian party strives to aid. Nader's answer to ALMOST EVERY problem facing America today, esp. on the domestic and economic fronts is to grow the reach and power of the FedGov, ignoring the danger inherant in centralizing power over peoples day-to-day lives into the hands of a few men and women who live thousands of miles away. Nader sees his judgement as being above that of you and me. He is a mental Castro.

A very recent convert to the party, but everyone has to wise up sometime so I'll cut him a break. He sure as shit beats the goliath parties would-be kings: the big-government enviro-Pubbie/free speech censorer McCain and pseudo-communist product of a corrupt Chicago Democratic machine Obama any day. Barr gets my vote in November, but he just won't get enough votes to get this nation off it's slippery slope of socialist interventions in the wallets and bedrooms of it's (too trusting) citizens.

Bob Barr is a FRAUD. Read any independent profile on him. He has introduced more legislation that is an infringement on liberty, than you would probably believe. WHY, in God's name did Libertarians select this man.
