You haven't seen anyone having a real heart attack, have you? You can't even move while having one, you start to lose sensibility in certain parts of your body...etc.An old man gasping for air is a synonym of a heart attack? Oh well, my grandmother has one every 5 minutes then.Don't be silly next time and choose your words wisely. If he was about to have one, ok, but don't say he was having one WHILE playing, 'cause that's medically impossible.

he WAS having a heart attack while he was playing, you can see him during the end and he was gasping for air, he's played that solo probably thousands of times and all of the the times i've seen him on videos and what not he always was sweating, but not looking like he was about to die (even on his last recorded performance)OR you could just watch watch?v=xN2NLwDzFyo

Well, I couldn't agree more. :] Its a shame that most people are not able to apreciate what we're able to: A LOT more than rudiments, but Buddy's musical original intentions with 'em. Buddy needs guys like you, someone actually able to understand why that thing that he played in that specific way is beautiful. He would be proud. I think every geniusis would desire to be understood.. No matter how complex their genius is.

He could kick Lang nd everyone else's butts, in my opinion. Whatever speed and chops they have, he has more, and he can do what they can't: Play musically. Seriously. All those guys largely do is play rolls with zero dynamics -- just flat, straight rolls -- while Buddy played melodies on top of his rolls. He'd use dynamics and different stick positions, syncopations, etc., to create a "monophonic effect," i.e., the sound of melody played over a rhythm. None of today's hot shots do that, imo.
