Incredible. Sorry to all who lost their little whale friend. Cool dog, looked like he/she (?) was thinking [briefly] about takin a swim with his bud.

Cool video until I read the whale died because of again more ignorant people....so they can make movies and books (for money) about him, but they can't take the whale back to where he belonged? stupid humans,..and someone must not of liked their dog too much, could of been dog fish food... some dogs would of jumped in the water....and may or may not of been eaten.

The U.S. and Canada could've gotten a big boat and that dog, and I bet he would've followed it all the way back to his home.

Luna was so desperate for companionship that he put himself in harms way and was eventually killed by a tugboat propeller almost five years after being spotted in B.C.. The death of Luna and the sadness and devastation we in the orca community feel can be put upon both the Canadian and U.S. government for their slow response in attempting to return Luna to her family in the Puget Sound area.

Luna was an orca that was a member of "L" Pod, one of the three Southern Residents of Washington State. In the summer of 2001 he was presumed dead by the Center for Whale Research. He was eventually spotted in the Nootka Sound area of British Columbia. Between the slow to act government of Canada and the U.S. Luna was left to fend for himself for years, alone. Orcas are very social creatures and need companionship. Out of shear lonliness, Luna turned to humans, even dogs, for companionship.

thats actually a genetic, rather than a cultural difference. Transients (mammal eaters) are have physiological differences such as heavier jaws and more pointed dorsal fins than residential orcas who eat fish. They also run in much smaller pods typically, if you can even call them that, than residentials.

One night before cristmas, a psyco broke out of a mental institute. He then robbed a store and dressed up in a santa costume. He then went to the mall and saw a couple with a child and asked if they would like to take a picture of him and the child. When the picture was taken, the "Santa" pulled out a knife and slit the boys throat. He then killed himself. tonight if you dont post this coment 10 times, the boy will appear in your room covered in blood and kill you with a knife
