This has nothing to with "Christianity" -- I STILL THINK IT IS A HILARIOUS AND GREAT SHOW!I saw the whole thing when it was posted here before the copyright Nazis made them pull it and I would BUY a copy of it IF they sold it here. I saw two different productions posted here and they were both SUPER! There is nothing anti-religious about this. It just a subtle social satire no more and certainly no less. I wish I could be in this production!

it looks like a fantastic show. Shame the crazy church people gave it so much bad rep on tv and all that.

As much as I enjoy a little bit of healthy cynicism, Christian Voice (Jerry Springer: The Opera's most vocal opponents in the UK) is for real. They've been about for a good few years, mostly whining about homosexuality, calling for a reintroduction of the death penalty, calling the effects of Hurricane Katrina "purity" and objecting to Gaelic TV (I'm pretty sure there's a pun there, but I'll restrain myself.)

try doing a similar concept about Islam and you might be in trouble!

yeah, people shouldn't protest, it warns them that it could be offensive, so the people who think'll they will be offended should just not watch it. i'm a Christian, and i guess the portrayel of Jesus like that kind of seems offensive to me, so that's why i'm not gonna see the show, allthough it looks entertaining

The reason they had those so-called "Xtian " groups raising hell was for the PUBLICITY value.I don't care about X-rated films., etc one way or the other but when somebody raises hell about them, EVERYBODY wants to go and see them to see what all the fuss is about. It's an ancient marketing ploy and it works!

blasphemy is a silly concept- it suggests religion has higher president than anything else- its a country of free speach but you cant criticise or laugh at religion- its a set of ideas like anything else.- 300 years ago - the cast and creative team would have been put to death over this- as john cleese said "im going to suggest we have come on a bit since then"

They just declared it not blasphemous, so why anyone had the GALL to protest outside of Carnegie Hall even after this was declared is BEYOND ME.

dito - im a man of faith, but dont think anything can be blasphemous-im sure god can look after himself.its a wonderful show and has every right to exist, - there is also a warning "not suitable for those without a firm grasp of judo-christian mythology" hahaha |
