I don't care for LARP either, BUT: they're getting outside and having fun and being creative making costumes and whatnot. That's certainly better than sitting around typing at a computer! :)

My friends and I LARPed for Nerd Day at our school. It was pretty awesome! Made costumes out of duct tape, caredboard, sheets, and whatever we could find.
