Lagos Nigeria...that's my hood. It's funny how americans think they grew up in the ghetto because they grew up in compton, california. People in Africa have it so much worse, americans don't have an idea what a real ghetto is. Those kids in Africa will trade your ghetto for theirs any day. I can testify to that. I mean seeing stanky dead bodies on my way to school. That's the real hard-knocked life right there!

okay, lets talk about what is talibs message. Is it really about hatin on other artists? I dont think so. When I wanna dance yeah its 'mindless' hip-pop. I'm well aware of the state of the planet and dancin to candy rap keeps me positive, so enough hatin already. Kweli does have a powerful voice for those in the light and those looking for it. Me cuttin loose wherever I am to radio hits and not caring what people think about me is my powerful statement to the world. any hate is fascist chill out
