that is very cool I never knew it was such a simple weapon, very cool I honestly don't know why America didn't just rechamber them for 30-06 or later .308 that is the best machine gun design ever

Oh, i defiantly admire what they did; that thing sounds like a freakin' chain saw. That gun was crazy while us Americans were still using .30 and .50 cals back from WWI.

It did that job gloriously. They weren't picky about who those people were going to be though. I'm sure if we had adopted the Luger instead of the 1911 (we almost did) you wouldn't have anything negative to say about it. They weren't trying to create a worldwide threat, they were trying to help their country. Most of Germany was led to believe that that's exactly what the war was about and had no idea just how sinister some parts of WW2 were (the US was pretty brutal too).
