actually, there is pretty good research showing that "um" is a signal that the person is actually thinking. An absence of verbal dysfluencies means that you are scripted. Also, people only notice these pauses if they are not paying attention to the content of the speech.

Nadine has a natural and likable presence. She has energetic spunk and she is funny! I thoroughly enjoyed her spot. I want to see more of Nadine Heimann.
