Clip #1: Opening Tune: "Blackberry Special"Stanton MooreThe New Orleans-born, -bred, and -based drummer tours regularly with Galactic on the international funk-groove scene, igniting the dance floor with grooves steeped in the Crescent City rhythmic tradition. However, Moore's oeuvre as an artist is far more expansive. In addition to his drumming duties with Galactic, Moore has been devoting his spare time to playing in various other bands, including the New Orleans Klezmer All Stars (a group that mixes traditional klezmer with street beats) and his own hometown organ quartet Moore & More (where the groove is deep and the improvisations bold). In 1998, Stanton recorded his debut solo album, All Kooked Out!, with eight-string guitar wiz Charlie Hunter and saxophonist Skerik. All these collaborations have profoundly influenced the music on Flyin' the Koop. http://www.vicfirth.com/artist...

Yeah, well if you watch Mike Clark it's like heavy serious and watching Stanton is like generally joyous and that's going to affect every note he plays- so his notes are jumpin just like he is- where as Mike is like Mr. Serious Rudiments or something- just not too happy feeling.

It's gotta be a jealousy thing. No one really knows Mike Clark or cares about him. I know about him but alot of guys don't. Alot of people know Stanton Moore. Stanton Moore brings a fresh approach to drumming just as Mike Clark did 30 years ago with Hancock. I personally don't like Mike Clark or watching him play, but I love watching and hearing Stanton play.

Definitely! Love those two drummers!

They're both very but I think there's gotta be some slight jealousy in Mike saying that. I think Stanton is sooo good at bringing out a groove. Mike Clark has some awesome chops I guess but for some reason I'm drawn to Stanton being better for some reason.
