Sammy Davis Jr is an actor, NOT a singer, and I've seen 3 versions of his interpretation of this song and he sucks. I know 80% of homosexuals will disagree but it's true. JJW may be the MAN, but the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's version is above and beyond the BEST! In every aspect, shape or form.

no one can sing mr.bojangles like sammy davids. he does a great performance and has a great voice. i love this song

well during his first days of performing Vegas, it was still during segregation, so after their shows, the casinos would not allow Sammy to hang out at the bar, or even gamble, until Sinatra stood up for him and said "if you dont treat him good, im outa here"

I love Sammy.. he was great, he had individual success as well as great success as part of the Rat Pat. This is the Candy Man Can are my most favorite pieces performed by the late great Mr. Sammy Davis Jr. God Bless Him !!!!
