Although this beautiful song was first recorded in the '70s it is perhaps, just as relevant to the environmental issues that face us now - perhaps even more so. It should be an environmental anthem played regularly to remind us all of what we are doing to the planet. Always loved Don and his music and was at his first concert in the RAH in '73 which was an unforgettable experience.

This song was on the Clearwater record in the early 70s, with Pete Seeger and others who cared about cleaning up the Hudson River in NY.

held in suspension like the yolk of the egg in albumen....What a line! the whole song!I bought this record after hearing this song on WNEW FM radio back in 1970--?.I still remember all the lyrics! Don McLean-A truly inspired artist!
