peace is a privilege. war is often necessary. it is important to differentiate a war that is fought out of desperation than a war that is fought for profit. a war that is fought for bread is not a war fought for oil. a war that is fought for tradition in the face of modernity is not the same as a war fought for imperialist interests. morality and war do not mix. and a moral discourse on war fails to understand the intricacies of whats at stack. this song was written about jfk p.s.

John Kennedy and Adolf Hitler are not the best people to show for this video. They did not "run farther when the fast bullets fly" to the contrary both were decorated for bravery in battle.

To be honest I doubt that it really makes a huge difference who gets elected. It never has in the past. War endures. Brilliant song though, Dylan always hits on the right words...Peace
