OMG I totally agree with you. This is ridiculous...
berberbylka (July 25, 2008 at 2:03 am)
oh this video is WRONG... Poor girl you made her feel all nervous and embarrassed in front of the whole world. Allah does not like to put someone in an uncomfortable situation to a brother/sister. And yes she is right, you can be a good Muslim with or without the veil on. I am sorry this video only shows how ignorant and narrow minded you are.

salaamsalso another point i wanted to add..is it halaal for you to be talking to a non mahrem like that?Hypocrisy at its finest.

The least they could have done was to fuzz out the face of the sisters in order to give them anonymity.Additionally, does (so-called) "Dawah Works" not abide by purdah, which is a part of our deen? Surely stopping random pretty girls on the street and joking with them is not acceptable. I know in Saudia, the religious police would not tolerate such harassment of females by stranger men. The entire point of hijab is so that men do not harass women. Why is dawah works harassing women?

Aslaaamu Alaikumno offense but your attitude and adab sucks brother. Bullying muslims its wrong. If you would like to discuss this further feel free to PM me on here..i really am disgusted with your attitude and your interviewing style.

I couldn't agree less. It is sad to see a group calling themselves 'DawahWorks' acting this way. The least example of them not abiding by the Adab of Dawah, they have comments here going: "Your are rejector of Sunnah & therefore a rejector of Islam." Whoah! Whoever in DawahWorks said that must really knows how to bring closer to Islam eh."Im guessing that when you guys pray it looks like an old-skool NY breakdance competition."Sad, dawahworks, grow up.

Allah [swt] says:"Call to your Lord's way with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: For your Lord knows best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance." (The Noble Quran, 16:125)The methodology of "dawah" adopted by so-called "dawah works" is against the Sunnah. That man should be flogged for humiliating sisters, instead of giving naseeha in private. Do you even know the adab of dawah? It is to be done in private.

So if you want what's best for this girl, who amazingly reminds me of myself, pray for her. But to call her dumb and other words I've read here, shame on you, really, shame and loss ... here and in the afterlife.Salam.

I would like to share something a woman told me after I wore my Hijab: "You know, dear, before you were wearing the hijab there were people who looked at you and said 'Look at what she's wearing' and degraded you. There were others, though, that said 'She looks like such a sweet girl, Masha'llah. May God show her the right path.' and apparently God answered their prayers and you wore the hijab! The others who talked about you badly only had your sins thrown on their shoulders." |
