Eureka! At long last, the single most mind altering moment of my childhood! What a re-discovery. This has made a middle aged man very young again! Cheers MrBronson66!

I wonder how many kids got sent into comas after watching this?

I was just in the process of writing to BP about this! 35 years on and here it is on YouTube - thank you so much for posting it, I too was a mesmerised 8 year old back then (and convinced that the boat sat on the Thames). Thanks again.

Wow!! Thanks for digging this up. I remember it from Blue Peter in about 1973 and my Dad, who taught science, watching it completely spellbound. We never did determine whether it was possible to get inside an electron.

Well, like a lot of people here, I saw that when I was a young sprog.... must be back in about 1972. It was breathtaking.I'm afraid though, today it nearly sent me to sleep. Maybe I have been spoiled by today's modern CGI.Nothing will ever take away how amazing it was when we first saw it as kids though.

The newer versions are called 'Powers of ten' and they're on Youtube!

This is a classic.. but I could have SWORN that they'd made a new 'all singing all dancing' version of this - you know.. more modern effects etc. anybody know if such a beast exists? |
