You got to get your facts straight. Nowadays surface based missiles can even take out satellites in low orbit (orbiting at 200,000 ft height). So this taxdollars wasting flying snail at 80,000 ft height (at best) certainly is no challenge for modern SAM systems.

What a stupid spy platform. One easy shot with a surface-to-air missile and it is blown to smithereens. Another waste of taxpayer's money by that dumbest money-drain institute of all: Darpa. You people amaze me, there is a video about a cheaper way to get a non-spacecraft in the air and all of a sudden it's big brother trying to infringe on your sorry-ass liberal rights!!! In case you didn't know it there are already orbital satellites that keep tabs on the world, this is an alternative to expensive spacecraft.
