Ladies, I've had PCOS and Diabetes since I was 15 when I had my right ovary and right fallopian tube removed because I had a cyst the size of a loaf of bread. I am 26 right now and I don't get a period unless I am on Medroxyprogesterone to FORCE me to have one. I am beginning Clomid to see if I'm able to have kids. My advice is to keep your chin up and realize that there is always someone out there who has it MUCH worse than you do!

10% of women have PCOS. I have it, but I didn't have much trouble with it. I just have/had hairloss problem.

i get how you feel the thing is that most doctors just dont know that much about it. a low GI or low fat diet and reg excersize is the way to go, keep what he put you on and dont give up! my mum, aunt and cuz all have it and they've all had kids.hang in there

heh me too. I don't think I could be a doctor, but still these shows are SOO fascinating to me! I can't get enough of them!

agreed. This show has helped me come to my own diagnosis of pcos. She is such an inspiration. I cannot express enough my gratitude towards Ashley as well as discovery health. If it wasn't for them, I could have been really sick right now.

Hey, I've got PCOS, No idea how long Ive had it for.Yesterday I went to a gynecologist/specialist, he took a blood test (gross, it was my first one and i had a panic attack) and i told him all about how my periods have been 2-8 months apart and each one is disibilitating. Anyway I've been given these pills with extra female hormones, called Estelle. Everyone, you should go to a specialist and do the tests because its all to do with hormone imbalance. Get it sorted now!Suzi X

I too have PCOS. Try natural progesterone. And do a detox. I am convinced that the cause is amalgam - at least in my case. Wish you all the best!

My obgyn told me I had this disorder gave me some pills and sent me on my way. I knew I had gain a LOT of weight in a short amount of time for no reason and almost no periods. I had no clue what it was other than my hormones were screwed up. I looked it up and I was so upset. I don't think doctors know enough about this or care to be honest. I'm only 19, I want kids. I'm having a hard time dealing with it, I only found out 2 months ago. I just don't know.
