People are correct that the song and video were based on the true story of Jeremy Wade Delle (echever7 quoted some solid material).However, RJKMUFC, there is no hard evidence that the real Jeremy was picked on...it may be true, it may be false; either way, the line in the song was an invention of the band (and loosely based on another kid that as not Jeremy).
