not really, theres a lot in common and ollew made a good point, no need to thumb him down. however i dont see any point in comparing them. what does it matter? both good artists. peace.

josé is very talented indeed, but is greatly inferior to nick drake. the main thing you see, is that josé gonzález seems to know merely this type of melancholic folk songs. nick drake on the other hand, was much more varied as a musician, while he still could handle the melancholic folk song just as good, and better (imo) than gonzález.
