We love you Brian! I think you are a wonderful skater and the World Champ. was your in Goteborg. I don't understand your points. :( Keep the good work!Anita(Hungary)/Szeretünk Brian! Szerintem nagyon jó korcsolyázó vagy és a világbajnokság a tiéd volt Goteborgban. Nem értem a pontjaidat.:(Csak így tovább!

thank you. this is what i'm saying. and i def agree, i thought the matrix costume was cool, because it fit with the program but it wasnt too flashy.

actually im going to have to agree with fishdude77. simplicity is so much better, plus i think that people focus way too much on the costumes in skating. watch what they are doing on the ice not what they have on. At the same time i think that sparkles can be used tastfully. example: Brian Joubert's costume in 2004/ Matrix.
fishdude77 (February 18, 2008 at 4:22 pm)
omg it was just a figure of speech, i take it back. it is a crappy costume that doesnt exhibit his style as a skater. is that better?!
MoonchildDog (February 18, 2008 at 3:43 am)
Fine, if you think certain costumes are tacky or in bad taste. I agree that many of the costumes worn by Russian &/or French skaters can be obnoxious. (SIMPLE, CLEAN lines are nicer to see.) However, what you basically said is that a sparkly costume is "gay", and that it somehow diminishes Joubert's manliness? I think that POV of view is immature, so while being 18 doesn't make you silly, that attitude DOES. Too much glitter & crap is only a reflection of a person's taste level, MALE OR FEMALE.
fishdude77 (February 18, 2008 at 1:41 am)
well first of all being 18 doesnt make me silly. and while i respect that being a man takes confidence and whatevs, not that i am a man or anything, i still think that simplicity is better. costumes like these are where people get all the bad stereotypes about figure skating. i just think he could do better. |
