Scientists estimate that there are less than twenty grizzly bears left in the North Cascades. Every year there are sightings, and Conservation Northwest has a remote camera program trying to capture an image of the elusive bear.

how many grizzlies are in the north cascade np are? i always hope to see one but i have only seen black bear, which are still cool .

This video provides moving images and a few brief but staggering statistics that explain how much we stand to lose if we don't help to protect this great bear-- and with it the last threatened vestiges of a "Wild West" that is part of our heritage, and found nowhere else on the planet.
