actually.. m16s have better accuracy and are very reliable but they do compare to the rugeddness of the AK47

Dumb idea. The front grip is wooden, that's why it catches fire. Besides the drums are from RPK(Kalashnikov Machine Gun, which was developed based on AK frame, and that's why magazines are interchangeable), AK is not fit for this kind of continuous fire.
