Flourescents are better non stop. Heating your home with gas is more energy efficient then using electricity because even the best power stations aren't over 70% efficient and then you have the energy loss in the polyons. So even if it's a cold climate they're still better.. But yeah, even worse if your in a hot climate and using aircon.

I was just waiting for him to bash that thing into the podiumI think this is stupid we are going to get energy efficient light bulbs that are toxic and waste just as much energy as they save we have to put them in not one but TWO plastic bags which are petrolium productsLED is what we need to focus on i read years ago that someone had found these little dots that when put on an LED make the light turn white so why arent we focusing on theese light bulbs that never need to be replaced????

You forgot that he also is against nuclear power, which is the cleanest and safest way to generate electricity. Nuclear power also eliminates using foreign oil. Now .. without additional sources of electricity, HOW ARE WE ALL GOING TO RECHARGE OUR CARS AT NIGHT?! Obama is a moron!

"Thats just the way it is" HA!HA! I like this guy! I see Another leader just behind him, The hard chargin Congressman from Colorado Tom Tancredo. Now, I wlll say these Spiral bulbs have saved me money on my energy bills and they burn much cooler. Should people be forced by the government to give up their regular bulbs? Of course not! thats stupid. I choose to have them in my house but if someone does not want them then why should they have to?
