Sting was so much cooler when he was with the band...then he became too politically correct for me. Lost his driving force...Like I said, just my opinion.

It must be excruciating for great musicians to be playing the same pop songs for years and years; even great, diverse songs like the Police have. It's too bad they feel need to "freshen them up" as the originals are really the gems.

Derivative of the sammy Davis song--Candy Man--"Who can make the sun shine?" "Walking in your footsteps" weak novelty. reunions are obvious depressions to be avoided at all costs. thank goodness the Beatles couldn't do it. let at least one myth remain intact.

Saw them in the beginning of the tour, and this was a favourite number, but saw them this week, nearing the end of the tour and they didn't do this song... was a bit of a disappointment.

Sting's playing like a 2-note Pan pipe in the opening bars..weak..not like in the 80s where he plays on 12-15 note pipes

Saw them in DC and they still had those freakin' awesome dinoaurs. They've still got it! I'm praying for a new album (even though it's not likely.

just realised how many times i quoted "the song" in my previous comment. how annoying!

serious? i love the "jazzy/rock and roll mesh up" of this song! i think it works really well with the song and uplifts the song. i wasnt a big fan of this song until i heard this version at the perth concert. now i LOVE it! i think all who went would say it was truly the best concert ever!

Sorry. I note of dissent. Don't like this version of the song at all. At 2:14 it suddenly turns into a jazzy/rock and roll mesh up, sounds very tired and laboured and it doesn't work with this track at all. |
