A lot who bought the original 45's always say that. History changes things around. We're getting alternate takes and album versions. All Right Now is a different 45 version also.

This is not the original release. The original had the harmonies continuing behind the lead vocal throughout the verses and it added tremendous power to the "vibes", especially in the second and last verses. What A GREAT Band. They deserved much more acclaim than they ever received.

I saw Moby Grape, Country Joe and the Fish and Blue Cheer at the Shrine Auditorium in '69 in Los Angeles.

Thanks for posting this gem... Their song w/: "Robitussin, makes ya feel so fine, ...like elderberry wine" -- does anyone know that song's title so I can search for it? Thanks

Moby Grape were well on their way to becoming international icons before their untimely bust in the back roads of Marin County!

They sure were! Jerry Miller has lived in the Santa Cruz mountains for over 35 years and comes and plays at Henfling's in Ben Lomond, he is still the most sweetest guy and still rocks!

oh yeah, and as far as acid killing and or inspiring, that's the fine line of that time period, it was new with the times, so it brought out some great and not so great creations from those who used it. with the millions of kinds of drugs out there now, there is no music that can be compared with freshness and true inspiration, save for some of the earlier electronic artists, that was the only other time where things felt knew and inspired, so do drugs help" maybe, depends on the person |
