politicalWars: JOhn McCain was correct about the surge, but not about the war. The war was based on lies, and was the reason why Al Queda came into Iraq.They weren't there before.Now Al Maliki want's US troops out, and contrary to mccain's earlier statements that if Iraq wants US to leave we will leave, McCains still is against timetables.Obama never said US troops will leave in 60 days(not even possible),but in 16 months. He said that he would give ground commanders that mission if president.

JOHN McCAIN WAS CORRECT! The troop surge is working and America is finally winning the war in Iraq. The U.S. troops have helped Iraq succeed in meeting 15 of 18 important bench marks. The killings are way down and the Iraqi military is beginning to take control.Barack Obama changed his mind about the war. He once said he would pull the troops out within the first 90 days, but now admits he will make his decisions based on what the Commanders on the ground say. Obama now agrees with McCain.

I agree, the government IS anti-American -- what is needed is to let time, sanctions, and Ahmadinejad's poor economic policies do their work. Iran is a democracy, governments change if the people are not behind them
