Hapkido is what you make of it. I practiced for over 18 years. I can use it to really hurt someone. But the key is to not to. Real hapkido is not practice usually. When I got my black belt it was 4 hours of hell. Blood every where, hurting joints, Any art can be effective if you let the other person train hard enough with you. Reality is how you train not the art most of the time. In africa wher I spent 2 months they train like made people because no insurance regulation. So train and fight

Yes, I was absolutely joking. In an octagon that scripted dance would be destroyed. With the money that is in MMA now if it worked someone would be winning with it like they do with a combo of Vale Tudo and BJJ. Period. End of story. There is no reason to argue about we have proof every time there is a MMA match.
