Actually dharma monk developped gong fu after 9 years of meditation alone in a cave, after that he passed on to other monks and stutends to defend them self from atacks

are you refering tot he shaolin? if so, of course, they have hundreds of forms, i just never seen or heard or know of africn egyptian martial arts

The first martial arts may have come from africa but that doesn't mean its the origin of martial arts because it didn't really spread and help influence other well known martial arts around the world. The truth is martial arts are usually born from war and if a group of people fight to take or protect their land, martial arts follows soon after..

i have researched the indian martial art is called Kalaripayattu or (kalari) 4 short. indian monks used to trade ideas and allsorts with chinese monks 300 years ago and they made shaolin kung fu from the teaching of kalari bout 2000 yrs ago from wat i have researched.

just to be clear i said martial arts originated in africa , i didnt say africa or india invented kung fu.and india does have martial arts. dont know the name of their systems or much about them but from what ive seen there are some systems involving stick and knife fighting.

one particlar african egyptian system that i know of is mariama kemet (spelling???) another that i know of is kaiti (spelling???) those are probably the most well known but there are lots in each culture varying among the tribes. |
